You can now order your Silverado with a Sport package …. that doesn't actually contain anything sporty.

The Custom Sport package features body-colored front and rear bumpers and a body-colored grille surround with a chrome-accented black grille. Other accents include 20-inch chrome wheels, chrome door handles and mirror caps, and chrome body-side moldings. The package also includes projector beam headlamps, tow hooks and heated power-adjusted mirrors.

Apparently Its supposed to harken back to the '67 CST with its white grill and " added touch of elegance to a great all-around truck" ?

I personally just find it funny that this Sport edition and the Rally edition they released earlier in the year have opposite parts in chrome/body color. Chevy, not all of us were born in the 50's and need chrome.

*this post excludes basic bitch base models and their black plastic bumpers

I don't understand the chrome around the headlights, but the rest isn't bad.

I don't get chrome hate. I like chrome, without it just looks dull.

Don't you know that the more chrome you have on your full-size pickup, the more you EXPRESS YOUR PATRIOTISM FOR 'MURRICA AS A TRUE PATRIOT? Do you not support the troops?

The bumper isn't terrible, but the headlight surround in chrome is very out of place imo.

Trucks need at least a bit of color somewhere other than the main body color, or else it just looks like a big box of boring. Chrome works, as does black plastic. Which one feel cheaper to consumers? Black plastic. So chrome it is.

Yeah, black plastic. It works too, I said that. Those are also the sporty/off-road oriented models.

The Ram has a 2-tone. Which works as well.

The 2 Silverados I posted about are literally named Sport & Rally if thats "sporty/off-road oriented" I don't know what is.

Just saying they could have one model without chrome, Chevy themselves manage to find a way for the Colorado.

K, found your truck.

Kinja'd!!!

Still, the rest of us might not hate having 1 trim level without chrome.
